Quick Overview

Beautiful golden yellow color. The nose is mineral with notes of white flowers, honey and marmalade. On the mouth the wine is round and rich in yellow fruits (peaches and apricots) followed by notes of salted butter caramel and a slightly salty finish.

Details

Situated on the left bank of the Rhône between Orange and Avignon, the Mont-Redon vineyards feature large, rounded stones known locally as galets. These stones retain some of the intense daytime heat of the southern sun and then slowly disperse it to the vines during the night. The Mistral wind blows away any humidity, ensuring excellent climatic conditions for the cultivation of vines. All grapes were handpicked and pressed using pneumatic presses, and the juice was then clarified by cold sedimentation and a light fining. Fermentation took place at a low and constant temperature and lasted about four weeks. Bottling took place in April after tank aging on the lees as well as six months in old oak barrels. Golden with greenish glints, the wine expresses white fruit, floral and citrus aromas. On the palate, there is a perfect balance between richness and acidity with intense, ripe fruit and an outstanding fullness for a voluminous finish. Bouillabaisse, shellfish such as scallop dishes or gratinéed oysters, or white fish.
