SHIPPING TERMS

We are legally registered to ship wine domestically and internationally with Federal Express and UPS.  USPS are not licensed to carry alcohol.

We can ship to the following States: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming

Adult Signature is Required at point of delivery, by Federal Law.

Wine may be sold and delivered only to a person who is at least 21 years old.  By virtue of your order with Cork Wine Online you represent to us that you are at least 21 years old and the person to whom any wine will be delivered is also 21 years old.

We encourage you to use a commercial business address such as your office to assure the fastest delivery time.

If no one is available at the time of delivery, the package will not be left. We cannot ship wine to PO Boxes.  An adult signature is required on all alcoholic shipments.

The buyer should make all efforts to receive the order in a timely fashion.  Three attempts to deliver to the receiver will be made, usually on consecutive business days.  After this, the shipment will be returned to the carrier depot and buyers should contact the carrier within 5 days to allow the recipient to  arrange to collect the package, or make other arrangements.  Contact with the carrier can be made via telephone number on any door tags left, email, contact us, or telephone number, or website, quoting tracking number sent to the email address provided on your order at the time of shipping.  If the buyer does not make appropriate arrangements to receive the order within the specified times, the shipment will be considered abandoned.  No refunds will be made for non-receipt of shipment

When orders are released from Weather Hold at the customer's request, Cork Wine Online will not accept responsibility for damage that items may suffer due to temperatures in transit, and will not replace these items at our expense.

FULLFILLING YOUR ORDER

You can trust that your order will be quickly processed and safely delivered. The shipping dates given during checkout are estimates only and should be used just for transit times to your shipping address. There are many variables which impact the preparation of your order and the day it will ship from our warehouse; we are not able to guarantee an absolute delivery date. If you require your order to be delivered by a specific day, please call to verify that this is possible. When you place an order we will estimate delivery dates based upon the availability of your item(s), shipping method selected and your shipment’s destination. Our shipping charges are determined by the total shipping weight and volume of your order, as determined by our officially licensed shipping carriers. Some products cannot be shipped to international destinations so please submit a message to us from the Contact Us page if you would like to discuss international ordering options.

SHIPPING AND PROCESSING TIMES

Domestic shipping rates include the cost of cardboard boxes and foam inserts to insulate and protect your wines plus labor and all charges levied by carriers. Most Domestic orders ship within 2-4 business days of when you place your order. A small percentage of items require a longer ship-out time. On rare occasions we may face an unforeseen delay in shipping your order and in that case, we will notify you by email or phone.

Depending on your location, the shipment can take anywhere from 1- 6 business days after leaving our store, shipping Ground. We cannot guarantee any shipments by a specific date. We will do our best to accommodate the Customer in any way, however UPS and FedEx may be subject to delays due to specific events.  A tracking number is provided at time of shipment, and we encourage buyers to check into the carrier website to check on shipping progress. 

During periods of extreme weather, we will attempt to ship wines at the beginning of each week in order to get shipments to you before the weekend. This is because we have no control over the temperature conditions at our freight carriers' warehouses. The result may be that your shipment doesn't go out the day that you place an order.

DELIVERY ATTEMPT

It is the Customer's responsibility to have an adult available at the time of delivery for an adult signature.

INSURANCE

Cork Wine Online automatically adds insurance to each order placed online. This covers you from any package lost or damaged in transit except for deliveries to a hotel where you are staying.

SHIPPING TO A HOTEL

If you request a shipment be made to your hotel during your vacation please provide the full details of the hotel, and your arrival and departure dates.  Most hotels will not accept a package for a guest who has not yet checked in.  We would advise you to make arrangements in advance with the hotel to receive your package during your stay.  We would always ask you to provide a room or suite number after checking in, so that we can ensure your name and room number is on the shipping label, to be signed for by a hotel representative.  Please feel free to contact us  beforehand to ensure we can meet your request.

CHANGE OF SHIPPING ADDRESS.

Please call us as soon as possible to change your shipping address. If the package is still in our facility we will change the address free of charge. If the package has already shipped, we will be charged by the carrier to intercept your package and we will pass this charge onto the buyer, currently $20 to change delivery address of shipment already in transit.  The buyer may be able to change it directly with the carrier at a reduced rate or for free.  With UPS “My Choice” this option gives the recipient flexibility.

BEFORE CONFIRMING YOUR ORDER.

Please ensure all addresses, emails and telephone numbers on your order are correct. Correct emails and telephone numbers are needed to alert you to any changes or issues and to send you your tracking number.  If the shipping address in inaccurate or inadequate (ie, suite numbers, business names, floor numbers, apartment numbers) and the carrier has to amend the shipping address, we are charged for this, and this charge of $15 may be passed on to the buyer.
