Elderton Shiraz, Barossa, Australia 2016
This Shiraz is an absolute classic - it is full bodied and rich. The color is a rich and vibrant dark purple. Aromas of black forest fruits, chocolate, and vanilla. Flavors of olum, chocolate, and spice. "Bright purple-crimson, full and deep; the bouquet and medium-bodied palate are flooded with red and black cherry, poached plum and a farewell touch of licorice on the finish; there is ample structure to carry the high quality fruit. Great value." "Deep garnet-purple colored and just gorgeous on the nose, with intense floral and black fruit notes plus some menthol and dusty earth nuances, the full-bodied and rich 2013 Estate Shiraz offers concentrated flavors supported by a good backbone of medium to firm, rounded tannins and refreshing acid. It finishes long".
