Chateau Laguiole Waiter's Corkscrew, Andreas Larsson. The best Sommelier in the World competition is organized by the Association de la Sommellerie Internationale, a non-profit organization headquartered in Paris. Competition takes place every three years. At least 50 contestants compete. The finalist has to survive demanding practical tests to take the title. This includes a complete series of timed tasks including blind tastings and describing in detail those wines, and identifying eight spirits in three minutes.
